The 2010 Ennis on the Madison Fly Fishing Festival again will feature the raffle of a brand new, fully-equipped 16-foot ClackaCraft drift boat and trailer. This is the seventh consecutive year the good folks at ClackaCraft have donated a boat to the Foundation for the popular Fly Fishing Festival raffle. Thanks again, Clacka!

Boat raffle tickets are on sale at various locations in Ennis: the Ennis Chamber of Commerce, the Madison River Fishing Co., The Tackle Shop, Fan Mountain Inn, El Western Cabins & Resort, Rainbow Valley Lodge, First Madison Valley Bank, and at the Foundation offices in Lone Elk Mall.

The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at 8 pm, Saturday, September 4th during the Festival's Main Street BBQ. The evening also will feature the Festival's huge bucket raffle featuring top-of-the-line fly rods, reels, tackle, guided fishing trips, angling artwork, and more.

Friday Sept. 3rd will feature the classic country & western sounds of the Ruby Valley Boys and the Festival's traditional Wooly Bugger Sandwiches.

For Just $50 You Could Own the Finest Fly Rod in the World!

The "Boo Boys" of Sweetgrass Rods Donate a Custom Bamboo Fly Rod to Foundation Raffle

The bamboo craftsmen of Sweetgrass Rods

For just $50, you can have a chance at winning the finest fly rod made in the world today. Jerry Kustich, Glenn Brackett and the celebrated Boo Boys of Sweetgrass Rods in Twin Bridges, MT have donated a custom-made split cane bamboo fly rod to the Foundation. We will raffle the rod -- 5-weight, 7-foot 9-inch with two tips -- the winning ticket will be selected in a random drawing Friday, Sept. 3rd at the Ennis on the Madison Fly Fishing Festival.

We'll sell only 100 raffle tickets at $50 each.

This is an unprecedented opportunity to own one of these highly-valued handmade bamboo rods. The Boo Boys are legendary rod makers and extraordinary craftsmen. Waiting times for rods ordered from Sweetgrass can be more than a year. These rods are an investment that, unlike graphite rods, will appreciate in value over the years. Cane rods from noted rod makers grow in value and in the future will command many times their current prices.

Raffle tickets are on sale now at the Foundation offices, 222 Main Street, Lone Elk Mall, Suite 1H, in Ennis. All proceeds benefit the Foundation, its mission and conservation projects on the Madison watershed. (Unfortunately the government will not allow us to sell raffle tickets through the mail or over the Internet.) We also will make tickets available for purchase at the Guardians of the River Gala Banquet on June 25th (watch for an invitation arriving soon in your mail).

We're selling only 100 tickets, so act quickly before they're gone. This is a great chance to help support the Foundation and have a good chance of acquiring a coveted Sweetgrass bamboo rod.

And thanks, Boo Boys, for your great support of the Madison River Foundation! You can catch the Boo Boys at the Fly Fishing Festival this Labor Day weekend.
