I have been a board member for 2 years. I own and operate Campfire Lodge Resort on the Madison River. My passion is preserving and protecting the Madison River and its environment for today and tomorrow and for the generations to come.

Why do you want to be on the Board of Directors for the Madison River Foundation?

I want to continue the work I started on the board of directors for the Madison River Foundation. I have been on the board for 2 years.

What makes our mission meaningful to you?

We protect the River and its environment.

What experience would you bring to the MRF board?

I have been on the board for 2 years.

What interests you about our organization? Which aspect of our organization interests you most?

Protecting the river. All aspects interest me.

What is your favorite project the foundation has worked on and why?

Being the facilitator of opening up 5 miles of Public Land that were landlocked.

Do you support Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks recommendations for the Madison River Recreation Plan? Why or why not?

Some of them. I feel that we need to protect the fishery from the unprecedented increasing pressure.

Do you support walk-in wade only sections on the Madison River? Why or why not?

Yes from Quake outlet to Lyons Bridge. I hear the most complaints about this daily.

Do you believe that the fishery will be impacted by overuse?

Yes. It will be inevitable. It may already have. We won't know until the next few fish counts.

How important is advocacy on local, state, and federal policies to you?

Someone has to be the voice of the river.

What experience do you have with fundraising?

I have been fundraising for the MRF for 3 + years.

How would you plan to increase fundraising for the Foundation as Board of Director?

Get more corporate donations for auctions and ask more potential donors for contributions.

How much time a month can you commit to meetings and serving the mission of the Foundation?

Depends. As much as is needed.
