You will be deeply missed, and never forgotten. A river truly ran through you.

Kennedy Seth Judd passed away peacefully on a perfect Madison Valley day from his home in Montana on July 5, 2026. He did so with his son, daughter, and sister by his side and in clear view of the land he loved.

He was born the oldest son of Robert Allen Judd and Sarah Kennedy King in Atlanta, Georgia on March 3, 1969.  He grew up in Tucker, GA with his sister, Rachel, and brother, Justin, on the back of his Papa’s tractor, eating his Granny’s cathead biscuits, always with a baseball in his hand and a Braves cap on his head.

Seth’s journey from Riverside Military Academy to Virginia Military Institute to the 82nd Airborne to Cisco Systems to Tennessee to his final Montana home left a legacy of brotherhood, hospitality and friendship that will endure forever.  A passionate angler, Seth left his mark on the Fly Fishing communities of Montana, Idaho, and East Tennessee.  Seth had a heart for service, spending his final years as a Board Member of the Madison River Foundation and as an enthusiastic coach, mentor and supporter of the Ennis Baseball community.

Seth is survived by his greatest joy, his daughter, Haley Judd Hufstetler (Brock), his son and best friend, Joseph Hunter (Jade Fuller), and his precious granddaughters, Kennedy Paige and Katherine Taylor Hufstetler, his stepsons, Blake, Walker and Ben Smith, Mother, Sarah Kennedy King, Father, Robert Allen Judd, Sister, Rachel Judd Carlson, and Brother, Justin Judd. He is also survived by so many of his chosen family.

In his own words: I am full of grace of a life well lived. I’m going to miss the times we didn’t have and cherish the ones we did. The baseball games, the fish, the trips, the people, my family by blood and by choice. Enjoy it All! I did!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Seth’s memory to the Madison River Foundation and the Ennis Baseball Community.
